Richard Ross is Senior Vice President responsible for Information Technology and Cybersecurity across Atlas Air’s global operations. In his role, Richard directs the sourcing and provision of all IT services globally and represents the Company in cyber discussions with the Corporate Board, the DOD and commercial partners as well as on Capitol Hill in helping to craft cyber legislation. Richard joined Atlas Air Worldwide in January 2011 as a Vice President to head its Information Technology Department.
Before joining Atlas, Richard held an array of senior positions leading and consulting companies on the management of Information Technology and Operations functions. These positions have included CIO for Amerada Hess the AFTRA Pension Fund and Layered Technologies, IT Project Manager for British Airways, Management Consultant for McKinsey & Company and CSC, Industry Analyst for Gartner Group and Engineer for IBM and Wang.
Richard holds a B.S.E.E. in electrical engineering/biomedical engineering from Washington University and an M.S.E.E., dual major in computer science and electrical engineering from Northeastern University.
