Gary Wade

Gary Wade is responsible for Global Security at Atlas Air Worldwide. He joined the Company in 2002 with more than 32 years of experience in Federal Law Enforcement.

Prior to coming to Atlas, Gary served as the Special Agent in charge of the Federal Air Marshal Service at Atlanta’s Hartsfield International Airport (ATL). Previously, he spent more than 30 years as a Special Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration, assigned to offices in Detroit, Miami, Washington, D.C. and Quantico, VA.

Among his assignments with the DEA, he was manager of the agency’s Undercover Training Programs for four years and chief of the agency’s Office of Congressional Affairs. He was subsequently selected to participate in the Department of Justice’s Executive Exchange Program and was assigned for one year to FBI Headquarters as the Senior Drug Policy Advisor to the Director. Gary retired from the DEA in 2002 as the Special Agent in charge of the DEA Training Academy in Quantico, VA.

Gary received his bachelor’s degree in industrial management and marketing from West Virginia University and attended graduate school at the University of Virginia.
