Global Supply Systems Ltd. (GSS) launched in 2001 as a British all-cargo carrier whose principal business is providing aircraft on long-term leases to other airlines on an ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) basis. Operations commenced on June 29th, 2002 with a Boing 747-400 freighter leased from Atlas Air Inc. A second similar aircraft joined the fleet in October 2002 and a third arrived in August 2003.
Our launch customer for GSS is British Airways, on whose behalf we are operating scheduled services to the Far East, India, the Middle East, Europe and the United States.
GSS is majority British-owned, with Atlas Air Inc. as minority shareholder.
We are based at London Stansted Airport and currently employ 28 ground staff and 90 pilots.
